Cookie policy

Updated in October 2023

Installing cookies may involve processing personal data carried out by the FOUNDATION FOR KNOWLEDGE MADRI+D (hereinafter the MADRI+D FOUNDATION). You can consult more information about the data controller and the exercise of your rights in the Privacy Policy section of this website.

This data processing is carried out with your consent. During navigation, first- and third-party cookies are installed; we indicate their purpose and expiry in the table found in the “What types of cookies do we use?” section of this document. You can withdraw your consent at any time by rejecting or configuring cookies.

This cookie policy is subject to periodic updates; you can consult the date of the latest update at any time. Its purpose is to help you understand how we use cookies, the purpose of those used, and the options you have to manage them.

What is a cookie?

A “cookie” is a small text file that a website stores in the user’s browser. Cookies facilitate the use and navigation of a website and are essential for the operation of the internet, providing numerous advantages in the provision of interactive services.

Cookies are used, for example, to recognize the user and remember information that will make the site more comfortable to use (such as preferences), or to improve the services offered.

Cookies can be “session” cookies, deleted once the user leaves the web page that generated them, or “persistent”, remaining on the computer until a set date.

Cookies can also be “first-party”, managed by the domain the user accesses and from which a service is requested (in this case the domain owned by the MADRI+D FOUNDATION) or “third-party cookies”, sent to the user’s device from a domain different from the one accessed.

They can also be classified according to their purpose: technical, personalization, analytics or advertising cookies, depending on the purpose for which they are used.

How can I disable cookies?

The user can accept or reject the installation of cookies, or reject the installation of a certain type of cookie through their settings. In addition, after each session you can delete all or some of the stored cookies. Browsers allow changing cookie settings. These settings are usually found in the browser's “Options” or “Preferences” menu. Below are links to manage cookies in the most relevant browsers:

Please note that blocking cookies may affect all or some functionalities of our website.

What types of cookies do we use?

The user can accept or reject the installation of cookies, or select the type of cookies to allow via the browser settings. In addition, after each session you can delete cookies totally or partially. Most browsers allow changing cookie settings from the “Options” or “Preferences” menu.
