This Portal www.madrimasd.org is owned by the Foundation for Knowledge madri+d, whose main purpose is to contribute to the social use of science and technology, taking charge of a significant part of the technological innovation programs of both the Directorate General for Research and Technological Innovation and the Directorate General for Universities and Higher Artistic Education. Likewise, the network of work brings together public and private research institutions and business associations, covering the essential aspects of communication between the knowledge-producing sector and the industrial sector with the aim of improving the region’s competitiveness through knowledge transfer.

The use of and access to the contents hosted by this Website implies knowledge and acceptance of these General Conditions, which are in accordance with personal data protection regulations, information society services and other related regulations.

These general conditions govern access, navigation and use of this Portal at the following URL: www.madrimasd.org. They also govern the liabilities arising from the use of its contents—texts, graphics, drawings, designs, photographs, software, code, videos, music, databases, images, information and any other creation protected by national laws and international treaties on intellectual and industrial property—and the specific conditions governing the different services that the Portal makes available to users through its Website. The domain name madrimasd.org, as well as madrimasd.es, is owned by the Foundation for Knowledge madri+d, with Tax ID G-83351346, whose registered office is located at C/ Maestro Ángel Llorca, 6. 3rd Floor. Madrid.

The Foundation for Knowledge Madri+d was established by Decree 63/2002 of 25 April, approved by the Governing Council of the Community of Madrid, and is registered in the Foundations Registry of the Community of Madrid on 28 August 2002, on Personal Sheet No. 316, Volume XLIV, folios 239–259, entry 1.

Use of the Website and Services

Browsing and use of the Website, as well as the services contained therein, is completely free provided that the General Conditions are expressly complied with and without reservation, which are permanently updated under the 'Legal Notice' link.

For certain services, user personal data is collected; in such cases, the specific clauses accompanying the form apply and, subsidiarily, the Website’s Privacy Policy.

Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights

The madri+d Foundation, the Directorate General for Research and Technological Innovation and the Directorate General for Universities and Higher Artistic Education hold the corresponding license to use the intellectual and industrial property rights of the Website, as well as the contents available through it.

Under no circumstances shall allowing users to access the Website imply a waiver, transfer, license or assignment, in whole or in part, of said rights by the madri+d Foundation.

The madri+d Foundation reserves the right to use the domain or name madrimasd.org and madrimasd.es in the field in which the madri+d Foundation carries out its activities and related areas. Likewise, the madri+d Foundation reserves the right to prevent the use of derived domains that due to their similarity may cause error or confusion regarding the signs, names or business origin of the services.

It should be noted that several sections of the Portal include articles, opinions and other contributions, which in all cases are the inherent intellectual property of their author. For possible reproduction of such content, whether in part or in full, the author’s rights must be respected and explicit mention made of the AUTHOR, SOURCE and any other identifying data.

Services and sections have also been created so that users can insert content—texts, images, videos, etc.—which are subject to the Creative Commons 2.5 Spain license. However, every user must respect this clause in order not to infringe third-party intellectual and industrial rights. Neither the madri+d Foundation, nor the Directorate General for Research and Technological Innovation, nor the Directorate General for Universities and Higher Artistic Education will be responsible for the necessary authorizations or legitimations that users require to exploit such content.

Liabilities

Neither the madri+d Foundation, nor the Directorate General for Research and Technological Innovation, nor the Directorate General for Universities and Higher Artistic Education are responsible for the following actions:

• The continuity of the contents of the Website.
• The possible presence of viruses or other harmful components.
• The contents and services provided by other Websites to which you may have access from the Internet addresses owned by the madri+d Foundation.
