Resumen
It is composed of two aspherical dioptrics without symmetry of revolution, which transform two normal congruences of rays into another two, the four beams being specified from the outset. Its originality is based on the fact that there is no prior invention which realises the function that said lens performs. A particular case of special interest is obtained when the lens transforms two congruences associated with two planar wave fronts into another two associated with spherical wave fronts (see the graph). There are possible applications for said lens, in combination with a group of cylindrical microlenses, in wireless medium-distance infrared communications based on the IrDA standard, illumination systems with light emitting diodes LED with mixture of colours, and distance or proximity detection systems, with IRED emitter and photodiode detector or PSD. <IMAGE>
