Resumen

ANTIVIRAL COMPOSITIONAntiviral composition. The present invention refers to the use of the bacterial strain Bacillus licheniformis characterized by the 16S rDNA of SEQ ID NO: 1 for obtaining a polymer. Moreover, the present invention refers to an antiviral pharmaceutical composition comprising the polymer obtained from the bacterial strain. The antiviral pharmaceutical composition of the invention is particularly suitable for the treatment of viral infections caused by enveloped virus.

Reivindicaciones

1. In vitro method for obtaining a polymer with antiviral activity which comprises: a. Incubating the bacterial strain Bacillus licheniformischaracterized by the 16S rDNA of SEQ ID NO: 1 in suitable growth media; b. Centrifugating the cultures obtained in step a); c. Precipitating the supernatant obtained in step b); d. Collecting the precipitate obtained from step c); e. Dialyzing; and f. Freeze drying. 2. In vitro method, according to claim 1, wherein the incubating step a) comprises: a. Transferring the strain into flasks filled with minimal growth medium comprising: 6.8 g/L Na<2>HPO4, 3 g/L KH<2>PO4, 1 gr/L NH<4>Cl, 0.625 gr/L NaCl, 0.49 gr/L MgSO<4> - 7H<2>O, 0.011 gr/L CaCl<2> and 4 gr/L Glucose, b. Adjusting the pH to 7.0. c. Incubating in a rotary at 45°C and 110 rpm for 24 hours. d. Inoculating 10 ml of the minimal growth medium with the strain into flasks filled with 100 ml of minimal growth medium with Glucose supplementation. e. Incubating the flasks in a rotary at 45°C and 110 rpm for 40 hours. 3. In vitro method, according to any of the previous claims, wherein the centrifugating step b) is carried out at 12000-14000 x g for 30 minutes at 4°C. 4. In vitro method, according to any of the previous claims, wherein the precipitating step c) is carried out with cold ethanol. 5. In vitro method, according to any of the previous claims, wherein the collecting step d) is carried out by centrifugation at 12000-14000 x g for 30 minutes at 4°C. 6. In vitro method, according to any of the previous claims, wherein the dialyzing step d) is carried out at 4°C with Milli-Q water for 48h. 7. In vitro method, according to any of the previous claims, wherein the freeze-drying e) is carried out by lyophilization for 48h. 8. Use of the bacterial strain Bacillus licheniformischaracterized by the 16S rDNA of SEQ ID NO: 1 for obtaining a polymer with antiviral activity. 9. Polymer obtainable by the method of any of the claims 1 to 7. 10. Polymer, according to claim 9, comprising substantially a chain of polyglycerol phosphate with substitutions of Galactose and Glucosamine in a proportion 3:1 and a basic repeating unit of polyglutamic acid, wherein the molecular weight of the polymer is between 4 to 6 kD. 11. Polymer, according to any of the claims 9 or 10, characterized in that it is produced by culturing the bacterial strain Bacillus licheniformischaracterized by the 16S rDNA of SEQ ID NO: 1 under conditions conducive for the production of the polymer. 12. Pharmaceutical composition comprising the polymer of any of the claims 9 to 11 and optionally pharmaceutically acceptable excipients and/or carriers. 13. Pharmaceutical composition, according to claim 12, for use a medicament. 14. Pharmaceutical composition for use, according to claim 13, in the treatment of a viral infection caused by an enveloped virus. 15. Pharmaceutical composition for use, according to claim 12, in the treatment of a viral infection caused by an enveloped virus selected from the group comprising: Herpes simplex virus (HSV-1 or HSV-2), Pseudorabies virus (PRV), Vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV), or Coronavirus.
