Resumen

The invention relates to a silent slam latch and end-stop mechanism formed by two assemblies comprising one or two pluralities of permanent magnets, one of said assemblies being disposed in the door and the other in the frame, such that the two assemblies interact in a predominantly radial manner as the door rotates. The magnets can be disposed in such a way as to repel one another and such that, when the door is closed, a magnet in the door (1) is located between two magnets in the frame (2) without coming into contact therewith. In addition, a third magnet can be disposed between the magnets in the frame, with the reverse polarity, or the orientation of the magnets can be varied. In a second embodiment of the invention, a magnet having a circular cross-section disposed in the door and a second magnet having a ring-gear-shaped cross-section in the frame are both disposed radially along the direction of rotation of the door.
