Processor system for generating bandwidth delays and signal distortion in real time.It consists of a digital system that allows generating delays and phase distortion and amplitude of a radiofrequency signal or bandwidth (up to 15 MHz) with great accuracy and in real time.The circuit digitalises the input signal (1) using a high-speed A/D converter (2) that generates samples that are stored in a long FIFO type memory bank (4) for generating the delay. The duration of the delays is controlled using a counter (5) programmed using a computer. At the output of the FIFO memories, there is a static RAM type memory (7) through which the subsequent D/A converter response characteristic is alternated (8), which allows generating the amplitude distortion.The phase distortion is generated by varying the sampling clock frequency of the D/A output converter (6) according to the amplitude of the RF input signal, whilst the input clock (3) remains fixed. The duration of the delay, amplitude, and phase distortions are controlled digitally using a parallel interface (9).
