The present invention relates to a peptide comprising SEQ ID NO: 1, or a composition comprising said peptide, for use in the treatment and/or prevention of a cognitive disorder in a subject. It also relates to the non-therapeutic use of said peptide, and a related method, for the cognitive function amelioration.
Reivindicaciones
1. Peptide comprising an amino acid sequence with, at least, 75% of identity to amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 1, or a composition comprising said peptide, for use in treating and/or preventing a cognitive disorder in a subject. 2. Peptide or composition for use according to claim 1, wherein the peptide comprises amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 1. 3. Peptide or composition for use according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the cognitive disorder comprises a long-term memory impairment. 4. Peptide or composition for use according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the cognitive disorder is selected from the list consisting of Alzheimer's disease, mild cognitive impairment (MCI), Huntington's disease, age-related long-term memory loss, FTLD, Korsakoff syndrome, vascular dementia, Lewy body dementia, progressive supranuclear palsy and any combination thereof. 5. Peptide or composition for use according to any one of claims 1 to 4, wherein the subject is a human. 6. Peptide or composition for use according to claim 5, wherein the subject is over 40 years old, preferably over 50 years, more preferably over 60 years, even more preferably over 70 years old. 7. Non-therapeutic use of a peptide comprising an amino acid sequence with, at least, 75% of identity to amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 1, or a composition comprising said peptide, for improving cognitive function in a subject. 8. Non-therapeutic use according to claim 7, wherein the peptide comprises amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 1. 9. Non-therapeutic use according to claim 7 or 8, wherein the improvement of the cognitive function comprises an amelioration of the subject long-term memory. 10. Non-therapeutic use according to any one of claims 7 to 9, wherein the cognitive function is selected from the list consisting of learning, memory, complex attention, executive functioning and any combination thereof. 11. Non-therapeutic use according to any one of claims 7 to 10, wherein the subject is a human. 12. Non-therapeutic use according to claim 11, wherein the subject is over 40 years old, preferably over 50 years, more preferably over 60 years, even more preferably over 70 years old.
