Resumen
The invention is a method for treating wastewater, which comprises (a) acidifying the wastewater and eliminating the sendimentable and/or floatable flocculates, (b) treating the wastewater resulting from step (a) by means of Fenton oxidation or catalytic wet oxidation in the presence of H2O2, using an Fe/Y-Al2O3 catalyst, and (c) processing the wastewater resulting from step (b) by means of biological oxidation in a sequencing batch reactor (SBR) in the presence of activated sludge. The invention also relates to a method for obtaining the Fe/Y-Al2O3 catalyst, which comprises (a) impregnating a substrate with a precursor salt, (b) drying at 40-80°C for 10-15 hours, (c) maintaining the temperature between 20 and 30°C for between 1 and 30 hours, and (d) calcining for 2-6 hours in an air atmosphere at 200-400°C.
