Resumen
Degradation of hydrocarbons originating from petroleum by means of Scenedesmus obtusus. The present invention relates to a strain of microalga of the species Scenedesmus obtusus that degrades hydrocarbons such as those originating from crude petroleum and derivatives thereof. A clone of said strain has been deposited at the Banco Nacional de Algas with access number BNA D33_09, and named So3P. A further subject matter of the present invention is a device for the degradation of petroleum hydrocarbons that comprises at least one strain of S. obtusus that degrades petroleum hydrocarbons, confined in a physical support or space. A further subject matter of the present invention is a method for bioremediation of environments contaminated with petroleum and derivatives thereof, based on the use of an S. obtusus strain that degrades petroleum hydrocarbons.
