The invention relates to a method and system for calculating real subtitling times for television and radio programmes broadcast in one or more transport streams, based on signalling and data from the transport stream and, optionally, on the programming available in a configurable server service. In addition, based on the time calculations and daily subtitling programmes for each channel, the system can generate alarms relating to non-compliance with subtitling rates and retain a legal copy of the transport streams legally required for verification following the transmission of said non-compliance.
