The present invention is a process for energy recovery of an organic solid, comprising a main stage and a secondary stage carried out in a compact system, in which the main stage comprises a thermochemical conversion at t a of between 450-1200ºC of said solid organic in a reactor, in an atmosphere with a stoichiometric ratio of organic solid oxygen less than 0.8, and the secondary stage comprises thermal and oxidative treatment at a temperature between 200-1000ºC of the volatile products generated in the previous conversion in a cyclonic system, and thermal cracking and/or thermocatalytic at a temperature of between 200-1000ºc of the resulting gaseous primary products.
