Resumen
Method for transmitting multimedia contents applied to a system with at least one transmitter node and one receiver node, which method comprises at least the following steps: (a) labelling multimedia data packets with a unique file identifier which indicates whether or not it has experienced errors in transmission; (b) regenerating the packet in the transmitter node with the appropriate checksum thereof and transmitting said packet in the network; (c) receiving the packet in the receiver node; wherein an error margin consisting of the number of pixels or blocks of erroneous information per frame and, secondly, the number of frames with errors is also formed; and, once this margin is established, the emitter node sends this data item with each transmitted packet such that the nodes through which the packets pass know if it is multimedia content and when it is necessary to block transmission until the appropriate content is received.
