The invention relates to a peptide capable of inhibiting the activation or the biological activity of p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) and the use thereof in the treatment of a disease that can be alleviated by inhibiting the activation or biological activity of of said p38 MAPK, for example, an inflammatory disease or a disease that presents with pain.
