Resumen
System for cryogenic trapping in a capillary for preconcentration and separation of volatile analytes.A system has been developed for trapping volatile materials and then separating them. The invention consists in the use of a single capillary that simultaneously traps them cryogenically at a controlled temperature and then separates them. The analytes are separated under temperature control during desorption according to their boiling point and/or by a chromatographic process. The central module that contains the capillary is cooled by a flow of precooled air heated by a flow or air heated by resistances. The process is automated and selection of the parameters that affect the separation of the analyte is achieved with the same control unit. The system is easily adaptable to a wide variety of instrumental equipment and can be used with the majority of existing detectors, such as AAS, ICP-MS, ICP-OES, AFS or MIP. Its combination with standard instrumentation forms a very useful tool for solving various problems of identification of metals used in Chemical Analysis.
