Resumen
The invention relates to a weak-focusing compact superconducting classic cyclotron essentially oriented towards isotope production. The cyclotron comprises: at least two parts made from magnetic material (1) which act as a magnetic poles and as a magnetic return circuit, located symmetrically on each side of the mid-plane (2) of the cyclotron; at least two superconducting coils (3) located symmetrically on each side of the mid-plane (2) of the cyclotron, housed in the aforementioned magnetic parts (1); a vacuum chamber (12) including an inlet for particles to be accelerated with at least two electrodes (17, 18); and a radio-frequency resonant cavity comprising an inner conductor (15) connected to one of the electrodes (18) and an outer conductor connected to the other electrode (17). According to the invention, the coils (3) are surrounded by at least one cryostat (10), such that only the coils (3) operate at cryogenic temperature.
