Resumen

[0001] A production system, based on a process and the equipment for its development that allows obtaining structural composite material components is proposed. The process concept, the related equipment and its configuration incorporate variants and introduce innovative elements with respect to the previous use of this technology. All of this allows the increase of the production rates, assures the quality of the products, improves the use of human resources and safety and health aspects, as well as facilitates the implantation of the system itself. [0002] The system is mainly dedicated to the manufacture of high performance composite material components with organic polymeric matrix, often found, for instance, in the aerospace industry. [0003] The productivity improvements are obtained by means of an Integrated to the Mould Resin Conditioning Device (DARIM) and by the fact that the identification and verification of the mould, resin transfer and the cure are performed by separated subsystems or equipment.

Reivindicaciones

1. Production system of structural composite material pieces made by resin transfer moulding, characterised by separating in different parts or devices the required functions to carry out the process and by eliminating the need to cleaning any uncured resin remains. 2. Equipment and process to manufacture structural composite material pieces by resin transfer moulding to apply the system of the claim 1, characterised because the transfer equipment is split into three separate parts or devices, the first one being a resin conditioning device integrated to the mould, the second one a subsystem that identifies items, manages vacuum for sealing verification and assists when transferring, and the third one a subsystem for thermal and flow control. 3. Equipment and process to manufacture structural composite material pieces by resin transfer moulding according to claims 1 and 2, characterised because the resin conditioning device is associated or integrated to the mould and can maintain a constant pressure during the resin cure inside the mould. 4. Equipment and process to manufacture structural composite material pieces by resin transfer moulding according to claims 1 to 3, characterised because the thermal and flow control subsystem regulates simultaneously and independently the resin conditioning device and mould temperatures, manages the pressure or vacuum level in the resin conditioning device and displays as well as controls the pressure for both the transfer and any additional feeding. 5. Equipment and process to manufacture structural composite material pieces by resin transfer moulding according to claims 1 to 4, characterised because the thermal and flow control subsystem of claim 4, differentiate between the conditioning and curing operations and it can operate the resin conditioning device carrying out the cure of the resin remains as well as the cure of the resin in the mould simultaneously and independently. 6. Equipment and process to manufacture structural composite material pieces by resin transfer moulding according to claims 1 to 5, characterised because the resin conditioning device does not contain any uncured resin remains from one run to the next one. 7. Production system, equipment and process to manufacture structural composite material pieces by resin transfer moulding according to claims 1 to 6, characterised because the identification and vacuum management device makes possible a sealing verification procedure, identifying the current working elements on which it is performing. 8. <th>. Production system, equipment and process to manufacture structural composite material pieces by resin transfer moulding according to claims 1 to 7, characterised because the identification and vacuum management device can be used in a sequential way with different thermal and flow control devices without the need to wait until the cure cycle is completed. 9. <th>. Equipment and process to manufacture structural composite material pieces by resin transfer moulding according to claims 1 to 8, characterised because the thermal and flow control subsystem manages the status of the resin flow valves placed between the resin conditioning device and the mould, as well as in the mould outlets, making it possible to operate them in a remote way.
