The querying of the sensor is performed using a device that consists of a white light source (not monochromatic), an optical spectrum analysing device, and optionally, an optical multiplexing device. The sensor allows obtaining the refraction index of the resource in which its specular tip is immersed through the variations of the optical voltage reflected in it and detected by the analyzer, whilst the reflection spectrums of the diffraction lattice or lattices integrated in the sensor operate as reference signals that allow discriminating and compensating the possible errors due to the voltage fluctuations of the light source or disturbances in the optical path. Additionally, the device described can operate as a temperature sensor, measuring the movement of the longitude of the Bragg wave of the lattice or lattices next to the cut mirror.<IMAGE>
