Resumen

The invention relates to a pure ceramic scaffold of nanocrystalline ceramic, in which the ceramic includes non-substituted apatite or silicon-substituted apatite. Said scaffold combines the excellent biocompatibility of apatite with improved bioactivity owing to the presence of silicon, wherein the nanocrystalline structure of the ceramic is ideal for the tissue where it will be implanted, and wherein control over the macroporousness is achieved by using the rapid prototyping technique. The invention also relates to the method for preparing said scaffold. Said method includes: preparing the bioceramic, grinding the bioceramic to obtain a multi-modal granulometry, preparing the ceramic ink in an aqueous medium stabilized with a mixture of a monomeric component and a surfactant, manufacturing the macroporous scaffold by means of three-dimensional (3D) printing, and hardening and calcining same. The preferred use of said scaffold is as an implant for bone regeneration.
