Resumen

[0001] The present invention relates to a liquid collagenase solution which will generate the pre-conditioning of the tissues covering peritoneal tumors by means of washing with said solution for a predetermined time and at a predetermined concentration for use as cytotoxic drug-enhancing or adjuvant treatment in the treatment of solid peritoneal tumors. Throughout the present invention, said solution will be used for administration to or for irrigating the tumor directly at a concentration and for a time such that it causes thinning of the mesothelial layer covering the intestinal tract without the involvement of intermediate or internal layers.

Reivindicaciones

1. A composition comprising collagenase in solution or suspension, or lyophilized collagenase for use in the prevention and/or treatment of adhesions between tissues of a subject or of adhesions of a foreign element to the tissues of a subject, preferably wherein said tissues are abdominal, peritoneal, or intestinal tissues. 2. The composition for use according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein said treatment consists of favouring the extraction of said foreign element from an animal or human body. 3. The composition for use according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein said foreign element is selected from a mesh, suture, prostheses, catheter, heart valve, pacemaker, preferably a polypropylene mesh, more preferably a low-density polypropylene mesh. 4. The composition for use according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the said foreign element is an implant, preferably a temporary or permanent implant. 5. The composition for use according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein said composition comprises collagenase in an amount of between 37 U/mL and 148 U/mL, or between 37 PZ (0.26g/mL) and 148 PZ (1g/mL), of the final composition. 6. The composition for use according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein said composition comprises collagenase at a concentration between 0.01% and 0.1%, preferably between 0.04% and 0.06%, more preferably of about 0.05%of the final composition. 7. The composition for use according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the composition is administered to the tissue directly or indirectly. 8. The composition for use according to claim 7, wherein said direct administration comprises a step of washing the tissue with said composition at the location where the foreign body has adhered to the tissue. 9. The composition for use according to claims 7 or 8, wherein said direct administration comprises a step of washing the tissue with the composition before the foreign body is placed in direct contact with the tissue. 10. The composition for use according to claim 7, wherein said indirect administration comprises a step of applying the composition to the foreign body prior to placing it in direct contact with the tissue. 11. The composition for use according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein said composition is administered to the tissue at a concentration of 37 mg/Kg of the subject. 12. The composition for use according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein said composition is administered to the tissue for 20 minutes at 37°C. 13. The composition for use according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the peritoneal tissue is selected from tissues from the right hypochondrium, left hypochondrium, left flank, right flank, iliac fossa, hypogastrium, mesogastrium, right hip, left hip, omentum, spleen, liver and cecum. 14. A composition comprising collagenase in solution or suspension for use as cytotoxic drug-enhancing or adjuvant treatment in the treatment of solid peritoneal tumors, wherein said composition comprising collagenase is administered prior to cytotoxic treatment, being administered to or irrigating the tumor directly. 15. A composition comprising collagenase in solution or suspension for use as cytotoxic drug-enhancing or adjuvant treatment in the treatment of solid peritoneal tumors, wherein said composition comprising collagenase is administered prior to a cytotoxic treatment, being administered to or irrigating the tumor directly, and wherein said cytotoxic drug is selected from the list consisting of antibiotics such as mitomycin or mitomycin C, anthracyclines, bleomycins, or mithramycins, alkylating agents, antimetabolites such as 5-fluorouracil, platinum derivatives such as cisplatin or carboplatin, hormones such as androgens, antiandrogens, and estrogens, doxorubicin, or paclitaxel, interferons, interleukins, and monoclonal antibodies.
