Resumen
Detection and identification of strains of Fusarium verticillioides producers of fumonisinas and is based on the use of a pair of specific sequences of oligonucleotides designed with effect from the intergenic spacer region of the DNA units. This pair of oligonucleotides permits the differentiation of the strains capable of producing fumonisinas from those which do not, and can be present in agricultural plants, in processed food and contaminated items. The two oligonucleotides can be used as probes in methods based on hybridization permitting detection and quantification of the presence of strains which produce fumonisinas.
