The power is captured using conventional or retractable-blade wind turbines, whose drive shaft turns the pumps that produce pressurised hydraulic oil, which is sent via pipes to ground level where it is stored in cylinders, 4, whose pistons have large header weights, which maintain the constant pressure of the enclosed fluid.
