Resumen

A roll coating system for coating strip metal having a plurality of coating head rolls (30, 34, 36) mounted on support sleds (42a, 42b, 42c) capable of linear translation along a single rail (50). Precision linear actuators (82) are located between each support sled and between one of the sleds and a fourth sled (44). A splice traverse mechanism (58) actuated by a piston/cylinder (60) displaces the fourth sled. Each of the rolls can be independently displaced or the entire head can be displaced by the splice traverse mechanism. Force measurement sensors (104) are located in the support sleds for an accurate measurement of nip pressures between the respective rolls. The elastic response of the support sleds may be varied to alter the natural resonant frequency of the coating system. The movement of a pan lift mechanism (39) is coupled to the movement of the pickup roll (36) so as to eliminate the chance for collision therebetween. The movement of a lift roll (212) in a double coating environment, or the movement of a pass line roll (262) in a U-wrap environment may be coupled with the movement of the roll coating head.

Reivindicaciones

1. The use of an anti-MDR lamellarin compound in the preparation of a medicament for treating multidrug resistant tumors in mammals, wherein said medicament is suited for delivering an effective MDR inhibiting amount of an anti-MDR lamellarin compound. 2. The use of claim 1, wherein the anti-MDR lamellarin compound has the following formula: <img class="EMIRef" id="586829306-ib0006" /> wherein each of R<1> to R<17> may be the same or may be different and are selected from -H, -OH, -Me, -Et, -Pro, -OMe,-COMe, and -OCOMe. 3. The use of claim 1, wherein the anti-MDR lamellarin compound has the following formula: <img class="EMIRef" id="586829306-ib0007" /> wherein each of R<1> to R<15> may be the same or may be different and are selected from -H, -OH, -Me, -Et, -Pro, -OMe,-COMe, and -OCOMe. 4. The use of an anti-MDR lamellarin compound in the preparation of a medicament for treating multidrug resistant tumors in mammals, wherein said medicament is suited for delivering an effective MDR cell cytotoxic amount of an anti-MDR lamellarin compound. 5. The use of claim 4, wherein the anti-MDR lamellarin compound has the following formula: <img class="EMIRef" id="586829306-ib0008" /> wherein each of R<1> to R<17> may be the same or may be different and are selected from -H, -OH, -Me, -Et, -Pro, -OMe,-COMe, and -OCOMe. 6. The use of claim 4, wherein the anti-MDR lamellarin compound has the following formula: <img class="EMIRef" id="586829306-ib0009" /> wherein each of R<1> to R<15> may be the same or may be different and are selected from -H, -OH, -Me, -Et, -Pro, -OMe,-COMe, and -OCOMe. 7. A pharmaceutical composition comprising one or more anti-MDR lamellarin compounds in combination with one or more MDR affected antitumor drugs. 8. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 7, wherein the MDR affected antitumor drug is selected from vinblastine, vincristine, etoposide, teniposide, doxorubicin (adriamycin), daunorubicin, plicamycin (mithramycin) and actinomycin D. 9. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 7, wherein the anti-MDR lamellarin compound has the following formula: <img class="EMIRef" id="586829306-ib0010" /> wherein each of R<1> to R<17> may be the same or may be different and are selected from -H, -OH, -Me, -Et, -Pro, -OMe,-COMe, and -OCOMe. 10. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 7, wherein the anti-MDR lamellarin compound has the following formula: <img class="EMIRef" id="586829306-ib0011" /> wherein each of R<1> to R<15> may be the same or may be different and are selected from -H, -OH, -Me, -Et, -Pro, -OMe,-COMe, and -OCOMe. 11. The use of an anti-MDR lamellarin compound in the preparation of a medicament for improving the antitumor chemotherapeutic effect of MDR affected drugs, wherin said medicament is suited for coadministering the MDR affected antitumor drug with an effective amount of an anti-MDR lamellarin compound. 12. The use of claim 11, wherein the anti-MDR lamellarin compound has the following formula: <img class="EMIRef" id="586829306-ib0012" /> wherein each of R<1> to R<17> may be the same or may be different and are selected from -H, -OH, -Me, -Et, -Pro, -OMe,-COMe, and -OCOMe. 13. The use of claim 11, wherein the anti-MDR lamellarin compound has the following formula: <img class="EMIRef" id="586829306-ib0013" /> wherein each of R<1> to R<15> may be the same or may be different and are selected from -H, -OH, -Me, -Et, -Pro, -OMe,-COMe, and -OCOMe. 14. The use of claim 11, wherein the MDR affected antitumor drug and the anti-MDR lamellarin compound are administered simultaneously. 15. The use of claim 11, wherein the MDR affected antitumor drug and the anti-MDR lamellarin compound are administered sequentially.
